Pet Safety Tips For Your Home

Pets are an important part of many families. Here at Richmond Alarm, it is our job to ensure they are safe and cared for when you’re not around. Whether you’re at work or away on a quick trip and can’t take your furry friend, it’s important to have pet safety measures in place.

1. Fire/smoke monitoring

Normal smoke detectors only work if someone is there to call emergency responders, but with 24/7 monitored fire/smoke detectors you can ensure your pet’s safety in the event of a fire even when you’re not home.

2. Video monitoring

Real-time video monitoring via smartphone allows you to check in and see what your pets are up to anytime. You can even communicate via two-way audio. Don’t expect a reply, though! (too cheesy?! Feel free to take that line out)

3. Emergency Evacuation plan

Posting a pet rescue sticker on your front door allows emergency responders quickly determine the number of pets inside for a speedy evacuation.

4. Home Automation

You can check the temperature of your home and adjust the smart thermostat from your smartphone, to ensure that your pet doesn’t freeze in the winter or overheat in the summer.

Pets are worth protecting, and so is your peace of mind.
